Auditions for Community Children’s Theatre’s production of Elf Jr., directed by Mary Ellen Ulrich, will take place Friday, August 21 beginning at 6:00 PM and Saturday, August 22 beginning at 10:00 AM at CCT (8900 N. Industrial Rd.) for children ages 8–18.
Please prepare the audition song that corresponds to the role you are most interested in. If you’re interested in multiple roles, choose the song that best showcases your voice.
- Buddy – Sing the selected section of “World’s Greatest Dad.”
- Emily or Michael – Sing the selected section of “I’ll Believe in You.”
- Jovie – Sing “Never Fall in Love with an Elf.”
- All other roles – Sing the selected section of “A Christmas Song.”

In addition to singing, everyone will learn a short dance combination at auditions. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in, and come ready to have fun and show us your personality.

Please bring a list of any rehearsal conflicts with you to auditions. Rehearsals will begin the last week of August and continue on weekday evenings through performances in December.
There is no fee to audition. Children who are cast will have a $130 registration fee. There is a discounted registration fee of $105 for each additional child from the same family. There are also a limited number of scholarships available for families who need assistance paying the registration fee. Ask us for more details if you need financial assistance.
Performances of Elf Jr. will take place December 2–6, 2026 at Peoria Players Theatre.
Elf Jr. is a heartwarming holiday musical based on the beloved holiday film. After discovering he’s actually human, Buddy the Elf leaves the North Pole for New York City in search of his birth father. Along the way, he spreads Christmas cheer, helps those around him rediscover the joy of the season, and learns what it truly means to belong. Filled with memorable songs, lovable characters, and plenty of laughs, Elf Jr. is a festive theatrical adventure the whole family will enjoy.
