Auditions for Community Children’s Theatre’s production of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid,” directed by Rachel Kocher and Kayla Harvey, will take place Friday May 3rd at 6pm and Saturday May 4th at 1pm at JumpStart Plus (8820 N. Industrial Rd) for children ages 8-18.
Update: Due to high demand, we are adding additional time slots for auditions on Saturday May 4th at 10am and 11am. Kids signed up for these times will come to CCT’s building (8900 N. Industrial Rd.) for auditions instead of JumpStart like all of the other times due to JumpStart having classes in their building duirng those times.
Please prepare a song to sing (not from this show), and dress in comfortable clothing for a dance audition. A piano accompanist will be provided at auditions, and we will also have a speaker available for those using a karaoke track.
Please prepare a list of any conflicts you have with rehearsals to your audition. Rehearsals will be May – July.
Performances of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” will take place July 10-14, 2024 at Peoria Players Theatre. There is no fee to audition. Children who are cast will have a $100 registration fee. There is a discounted registration fee of $75 for each additional child from the same family. There are also a limited number of scholarships available for families who are in need of assistance paying the registration fee.
Description from MTI: Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.
